FDK students in all study programs are encouraged to participate in various competitions or championships. In 2016, some of the achievements that have been made by FDK students include: 

First, 1st place in the National Research Camp (Nares) organized by Semarang State University, October 6-9, 2016 defeating 81 universities in Indonesia. The PMI research team, namely by Desy Alhasyah, Husnul Khotimah, and Jeky - the research team of the Islamic Community Development Study Program (PMI) brought the research topic "Asset-Based Empowerment: Processing of Banana Bark Chips in Pabelan Village Through a Partnership with BPPM (Community Assessment and Development Center) Pondok Pesantren Pabelan.

Second, Nisa Nur Maulani-Islamic Broadcasting Communication Study Program (KPI) won 1st place in Emtek Goes To Campus, Mobile Jornalism Video Competition organized by SCTV and Indoesiar at Graha Sabha Pramana UGM, beating 35 participants from high schools/vocational schools and university students, Sunday, October 4, 2016. 

Third, Fitri Setyawati- Islamic Guidance Counseling Study Program (BKI), 1st place in the CEPEDI CUP Pencak Silat Championship Class F Female, on February 20-21, 2016 at the UIN Sunan Kaijaga Student Center Building.

Fourth, Ari Saputra, Student of Da'wah Management Study Program (MD), finalist in Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) held by State University of Malang, October 24-25, 2016.
