The Faculty of Dakwah and Communication Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga conducted a Global Scholarship interview selection for shortlisted candidates of international students on the 9 and 13 of August 2021. The faculty received 89 applicants from Asia, Africa and the Middle East who applied for undergraduate and post-graduate study programs. Among those applications, thirty-nine applicants met the administration requirements and were shortlisted for an interview. Based on the quota, the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication will select 15 awardees. The faculty will provide either a full or partial scholarships scheme for awardees. The assessment was based on academic performance, English proficiency, Islamic moderation, the self-motivation of the applicants, and their readiness to adapt to the Indonesian culture.

The enthusiasm of Muslim society worldwide to this scholarship is an appreciation and precious trust to UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The admission of International students is one of the innovative breakthroughs to achieve a world-class university.
