Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (UIN) Yogyakarta held a
Management Review Meeting (RTM) for the Odd Semester of the 2024/2025 academic
year on Tuesday, 25 June 2025, at the PAU Building’s 1st Floor Meeting Room.
The session was part of the university’s continuous quality assurance efforts,
organized by the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM).
Attended by university leaders, deans and vice deans, as well as
the LPM team, the meeting focused on three key areas: satisfaction survey
results, findings from the Internal Quality Audit (AMI), and the implementation
progress of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum.
One highlight came from the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication
(FDK), which achieved a satisfaction score of 80.46—an increase from the
previous semester (75.41) and the same semester last year (77.42). This
improvement is attributed to better classroom facilities, including new air
conditioning units and enhanced internet connectivity. Nonetheless, the limited
availability of parking space remains a concern, prompting proposals for an
integrated parking area.
FDK Vice Dean I, Prof. Dr. Pajar Hatma Indra Jaya, welcomed the
achievement with optimism. “We are committed to maintaining and enhancing both
academic and non-academic services,” he affirmed.
Meanwhile, the Internal Quality Audit revealed that out of 926
indicators reviewed, 760 met the standards. There were 84 major findings, 54
minor findings, and 27 noted as observations. A compliance rate of 81 percent
was recorded. Most major findings were linked to study programs led by newly
appointed heads still adjusting to the system due to account transitions. Many
unanswered items contributed to these findings.
To address this, the faculty has scheduled a series of follow-up
coordination meetings from 1 to 11 July 2025 involving heads of programs,
secretaries, and the faculty quality assurance team. A follow-up audit is
slated for 4–15 August 2025, with a preparatory meeting set for 30 June.
Regarding curriculum implementation, the report showed mixed
progress. Undergraduate programs have integrated Learning Outcomes (CP) into
the Academic Information System (SIA), while graduate programs have not yet
done so. Furthermore, OBE-based assessments for first-semester courses have not
been carried out, as lecturers have yet to complete the required formats. In
response, the university plans to hold technical training sessions and
socialization programs, especially for instructors of early-semester courses.
“OBE should be a supportive tool—enhancing the learning experience,
not complicating it,” Prof. Pajar emphasized.
Through this RTM, UIN Sunan Kalijaga reasserts its commitment to
high-quality, student-centered higher education that responds to curriculum
developments and prioritizes continuous improvement. (Nid-Kh)
