STUDENT EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The Student Executive Council (Dewan Eksekutif Mahasiswa/DEMA) of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication (FDK), UIN Sunan Kalijaga, is the highest executive body at the faculty level, responsible for carrying out managerial functions and the execution of student programs. As the dynamic representative of the faculty, DEMA FDK serves as an integrative bridge that unites various academic disciplines — ranging from communication and counseling to social empowerment — into a student movement that generates tangible impact for the academic community and society at large.

Strategic Organizational Objectives:

  1. Integration of Student Potential: Serving as a collaborative platform among study programs (KPI, BKI, PMI, MD, and IKS) to cultivate synergy in activities at both the faculty and national levels.
  2. Professional Capacity Development: Organizing activities that develop students' leadership skills, organizational management competencies, and professional networking.
  3. Integrated Community Service: Realizing the role of students as agents of change through social actions aligned with the values of Islamic da'wah and communication.

Key Work Programs and Academic Contributions: DEMA FDK administers work programs designed to strengthen the faculty's standing at the national level, including:

  • Da'wah & Communication Festival: A competition and creative showcase event for students that integrates elements of art, literacy, and communication technology, aimed at enhancing the faculty's non-academic achievements.
  • Student Leadership Training (Latihan Kepemimpinan Mahasiswa/LKM): A systematic leadership cadre development program designed to cultivate organizational leaders of integrity, moderation, and global perspective.
  • DEMA Peduli (Social Act): A rapid-response initiative addressing humanitarian and social issues, serving as concrete evidence of student community service in the field.
  • Dean's Office and Student Dialogue: A regular forum that bridges communication between students and faculty leadership to discuss strategic issues in academic development and campus facilities.
