The Master's Program in Islamic Community Development (S2 PMI) at UIN Sunan
Kalijaga establishes three interrelated graduate profiles:
academics/researchers who are capable of developing and producing scholarly
works in the field of Islamic community development in a critical and
innovative manner; practitioners in community empowerment institutions who are
competent in designing and implementing empowerment programs grounded in
Islamic values; and social policy analysts who are able to examine, evaluate, and
formulate policy recommendations for social development that prioritize justice
and community welfare. These three profiles collectively reflect the program's
commitment to producing graduates who are academically excellent while
remaining responsive to social dynamics and the needs of community empowerment
at both local and national levels.
