Lecturer Profile

In qualitative terms, the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication at UIN Sunan Kalijaga has a “Hybrid Academician” profile. Lecturers not only have a firm grasp of the normative aspects of da’wah, but are also equipped with a strong foundation in modern social sciences. The Faculty of Da’wah and Communication has a total of 86 lecturers, with the following breakdown:

  1. KPI (Islamic Communication and Broadcasting) = 19 people (22%)
  2. MD (Da’wah Management) = 18 people (21%)
  3. BKI (Islamic Guidance and Counselling) = 17 lecturers (20%)
  4. IKS (Social Welfare Studies) = 16 lecturers (18.5%)
  5. PMI (Islamic Community Development) = 16 lecturers (18.5%)

Of this total, the Faculty has a very strong base of Senior Lecturers (over 60% of the total teaching staff). This indicates high teaching productivity and expertise in the fields of scientific and academic development. Furthermore, more than 30 lecturers hold a PhD (S3), demonstrating that the academic standards in this faculty are very high, with academic decisions and the teaching of core courses being led by PhD holders.

The majority hold degrees in Religious Studies — such as S.Ag. (Bachelor of Religious Studies) or M.Ag./M.S.I. (Master of Religious Studies) — alongside social science qualifications, including M.Si.
